The Director of Sales Position

Primary responsibilities:

The Director of Sales will develop the sales strategy and manage the sales team to successfully meet the company’s growth objectives. The primary focus will be developing new business for each market segment, engaging the market and to retain existing business of Digital Power.

In addition, the Director of Sales will manage directly the sales activities in one or more geographical regions. He/She will engage directly with designated customers and markets or through partner channels to achieve sales goals and objectives for the region.
The Director of Sales will be accountable to design-in new products and services for new and existing customers as well as retaining existing business. The Director of Sales will manage the company sales’ activities to help achieve short and long-term revenue goals and business development/marketing execution strategy.
This position presents the opportunity for extensive customer exposure and will require excellent relationship building and sales skills as well as product knowledge of both power supplies and power solutions.

We are looking for a self-starter who will enable the Company to successfully integrate solutions into existing and new customers’ environment and build loyal long term customer and sales channel relationships.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of executive sales/marketing role
  • Power supplies direct sales experience
  • Proven record of success in a result driven environment
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Goal driven individual able to manage sales in a designated region
  • Self-motivated and flexible with the ability to lead sales reps team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial sales plans and the sales cycle
  • Computer and relevant application skills including CRM, Project Management and office suite (Preferred)
Personal Competencies:
  • A strategic outlook with the ability to assess the complete potential customer and develop/present value proposition of Digital Power solution to customers
  • Professional presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas in both written and verbal communications
  • Result driven - sets stretch objectives for self and others drives through obstacles to accomplish extraordinary results
  • Must be a Citizen or a Permanent Resident of United States
  • Willing and able to travel 50% - 75% of the time
  • Education - Bachelor’s degree, EE preferred
